Have you ever been asked to boil the Ocean? This is a case-study about how to identify big picture goals, establish priorities, segment work effort and document end-to-end financial data quality flows. This enables the most effective identification and attention to poor data quality and business processes.
This tutorial will provide the attendee with: - Out of the box method of structuring a financial focused data quality initiative whose scope meets the executive’s expectations (broad) and delivers (narrow) concrete documentation required of DQ assessment
- Templates for metadata collection, data flow diagrams, and financial controls will be provided
- Insider advice on communication and project facilitation will be discussed
- Active discussion is appreciated but not required
Dan Myers (MBA, IQCP) is the principal educator of Data Quality Matters, an eLearning company focused on providing information and data quality learning material.
